Carl will work to rebuild a healthy, stable, and respectful relationship between the Board and District leadership. He believes the Board must serve as a partner that supports strong governance and creates the conditions for student success.

Carl is committed to raising literacy and foundational math skills in the elementary years. He supports expanding small group instruction, increasing paraprofessional support, and ensuring students receive targeted interventions that set them up for long term achievement.

Carl is focused on the large group of students who often fall through the cracks, particularly those who are economically disadvantaged. He believes these students deserve equitable resources, consistent support, and opportunities that help them succeed academically and socially.

Carl believes every classroom must be a safe, predictable environment where teachers can teach and students can learn. He supports stronger behavioral and mental health interventions, clearer expectations for discipline, and proactive supports that address issues before they escalate.

Carl supports programs that strengthen soft skills, build confidence, and help students stay engaged in school, including extracurricular activities, mentorship programs, and partnerships that connect learning to real opportunities.
